Pascagoula Aliens
Mississippi
Named for their 1973 manifestation along the Pascagoula River.
They are bizarre, humanoid creatures standing slightly over 5 feet tall. They possess distinct, crab-like pincers in place of hands, and their overall physiology is described as distinctly robotic or artificial.
They operate from an oval-shaped, 30-to-40-foot-wide spacecraft equipped with flashing blue lights, capable of hovering silently above terrestrial ground.
They exhibit purely investigative, scientific behaviors. They approach silently with a whirring sound, paralyze their targets, and levitate them aboard their craft to conduct localized biological examinations on human subjects before returning them unharmed.
They achieved global infamy in 1973 when they allegedly abducted and experimented on night-fishermen Charles Hickson and Calvin Parker. The incident remains one of the most widely publicized close encounters in UFOlogy, although skeptics suggest the entire event was a waking dream state or a hoax born of the 1973 UFO flap.
